Fall House Programs
On Thursday, October 22, General Minister And President Sharon Watkins joined House residents and local trustees for a home cooked meal, worship, and lively after dinner conversation. Residents shared their reasons for following a call to education for ministry and their hopes for the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) they will inherit.
The next House dinner will coincide with the Cole Lecture at the Divinity School on Thursday evening, October 22.
House Ministry Lunches also occur monthly and offer opportunities for students to think about some of the skills needed for successful ministry. The first Lunch of the fall semester was September 14, with Dean Mark Miller-McLemore talking about “Leading Churches through Change.” The October house lunch at noon included Andrew Quinn and John Stauffer from Kay Quinn Financial Partners, who led a session on "Financial Planning for Ministers".
