The 2011 Opening Retreat for residents and students in the Disciples House community is set for Sunday, August 14, through dinner on Monday, August 15, at Bethany Hills Camp.
The purposes are to get to know one another and the diverse gifts we bring, to worship and build community among residents and non-resident Disciples, to facilitate harmonious living and learning together among Disciple and non-Disciple residents, and to consider our place in our vocational paths and the role of School and House in it.
This year we will spend significant time on the quality of the House community.…
The 2011 General Assembly came to Nashville, and it was a great event for Disciples Divinity House!
The Alumni/ae Luncheon on Monday, July 11, at the beautiful Schermerhorn Symphony Center was fabulous. We were so grateful for Alumnus of the Year Fred Craddock's good words, for the incredible music of Nashville Disciple Jonell Mosser, for the full house that helped us "sell out the Schermerhorn," and for the great time together. Sorry that more tickets weren't available--the new online sales system, the advance requirements of caterers, and space availability all had an impact. We look forward to seeing everyone next time.
